The roll is divided into three districts; starting with Stellenbosch on page 288, Drakenstein on page 293 followed by the Cape district on page 300. Both the start and end of the roll is dated 31 December 1714 (ultimo December).

This muster roll is that of the Free Settlers at the Cape of Good Hope for the years 1715 and 1716 and was transcribed from the Cape Archives VC 49, pages 310 to 335. The head of household and the names of wives are given but no children are mentioned. The roll is divided into three districts; starting with the Cape of Good hope on page 310, Stellenbosch on page 322 followed by the Drakenstein on page 328. The end of the roll is dated 31 April (sic), 1 and 2 May 1716 implying that the information on the roll is current for the end of April and beginning of May 1716.
