Schuldbrief
Een werknemer van de VOC kon een schuldbrief / obligatie ondertekenen tot maximaal ƒ300, afhankelijk van de rang. De schuldbrief was veelal op naam gesteld, maar overdraagbaar en werd aan de toonder uitbetaald. Bij onvoldoende saldo werd de transportbrief bij voorrang voldaan, na de maandbrief. In het soldijboek wordt alleen vermeld dat er een schuldbrief is en ook de terugbetaling, voor zover dat gebeurd is.

Catharina was born calculated 30 Jan 1757 in Stellenbosch, Cape Colony. She was christened on 13 Mar 1757 in Cape Town. She died on 8 Nov 1845 in Clanwilliam, Cape Colony. The son of Jan and Catharina, (a1b4c3) Jan Augustus van den Heever, christened 20 Feb 1780, Cape Colony, married a local Khoikhoi woman of Namaqualand and is the Progenitor of the coloured van den Heever Clan.
